Finding them in one shop Was the hard part.
For almost 2 decades, we have been a part of the rowing community as student-athlete, boatman, director of operations, equipment manager, assistant coach, and head coach of Division I, Collegiate Club, Masters, and U23 National Team programs. During that time, we have yet to find one place to source the majority of the parts needed for teams and boathouses with a myriad of boat makes and types being rowed in the same program.
Because of this need our founder, Jason Cottingham, began Rowing Parts Supply, LLC. Jason was first introduced to rowing as a walk-on rower at The University of Alabama. He has been awarded a Bachelor and Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a Master of Business Administration and has accrued time in many different programs including the University of Alabama Men’s Rowing, Dartmouth College Lightweight Men’s Rowing, Syracuse University Men’s Rowing, and Jacksonville University Men’s Rowing.
On top of his stops at multiple universities, he has also coached for the Craftsbury Training Center, USRowing U23 National Team, USRowing ODP, as well as multiple masters programs and junior camps. His entire career, educational and professional, has helped him develop a full complement of skills from the top down ranging from operations to recruiting, trailer driving to small motor repair and maintenance, coaching every boat class, complete equipment maintenance and composite repair, and more. It was through all of this experience that allowed him to found Rowing Parts Supply.
Our other Co-Owner, Bailey Sikes, started as a walk-on student-athlete at Jacksonville University. After being transformed by the sport of rowing he never looked back. Graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a focus in manufacturing, Bailey brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to Rowing Parts Supply. From manufacturing processes, CAD/CAM, machining, an overall understanding of the mission of Rowing Parts Supply, and a passion to help bring more people to the sport of rowing, he is an integral part of our organization and our growth.
We are here to create an easy and cost-effective option for purchasing high-quality rowing parts in order to create opportunities for programs to save money which, by doing so, can allow those programs to grow our sport and broaden their reach and allow more people to experience this sport we love. That is the underlying mission of Rowing Parts Supply and we want to do that in one spot, with one shop.
However, a “one-stop-shop” is just the beginning. Having parts available for coaches and managers when they need them is just as important. The energy that coaches and staff put into their teams is limited, so being worried about receiving parts when you absolutely need them should be the last worry on a coach’s mind.
These needs were the other impetus to start Rowing Parts Supply, LLC. Our parts are stored or made in-house to be able to supply you with the parts you need when you need them. As a company, we strive to have orders fulfilled and shipped out the next business day to support your team the best way we can.
